After 15 years of rowing my active time as a competitive athlete ends in 2012.
The last year should be the best.
Over the 6000m distance I could set a new world record in 18:07,2 min on the Concept2 indoor rowing machine.
The German national trials for the Olympic qualification I finished second best.
I was never nationally ranked among the top three.
At the rowing world cup at full presence of all international competitors I took an excellent 8th place in the single.
On the long way I worked, discussed and hoped with a huge number of people to fulfill my dream.
I am very grateful for this unique year.
